Every April for the past five years, Future Champions Golf has hosted the FCG Las Vegas Championship at Primm Valley GC. Junior golfers from around the world would travel to compete in this Junior World Championship qualifier. However, over the years, the FCG staff has continuously heard that opportunities for Las Vegas junior golfers where needed on a more regular basis. Local junior golfers needed a platform to compete against the best junior golfers on the West Coast and to showcase their skills to college coaches.
During the fall season of 2013, Future Champions Golf expanded their National Tour to include a Vegas Series. The Vegas Series now consists of three tournaments held during the Spring and Fall seasons around the Las Vegas area and has attracted the best players from Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
A local parent is excited to have Future Champions Golf hosting more Las Vegas events, “It is great having Future Champions Golf hosting more Las Vegas events. Always traveling out of the state for golf tournaments was getting exhausting, so it’s nice to have more local events. A strong partnership with Par 4 Golf Management and a goal of growing junior golf in the Southwest, has given Future Champions Golf the opportunity to host events at some of the best courses in Las Vegas and the ability to give more junior golfers the chance to compete at the highest level.
