NORRISTOWN, Pa. (March 24, 2014) – Hunter Soccer Club, from Glenside, PA, has selected TL Golf Services to provide infrastructure, planning and staffing for the inaugural Hunter Golf Outing. The event will be held at the Donald Ross-desgined LuLu Country Club on Friday, May 2, 2014.
Hunter Soccer Club, founded in 1962, offers soccer programs to youth of all ages. A 501c3 organization and member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA), Hunter Soccer Club continues to be a strong, vibrant, community-oriented organization that helps teach children of all ages the “beautiful game” of soccer.
The club’s first golf outing is part of the on-going efforts to raise money for the organization’s operations and fund the Sharon A. Klein Memorial Scholarship for Girls, Norman S. Inazu Memorial Scholarship for Boys and the President’s Award for Girls or Boys. “I am so grateful for all of our wonderful coaches and volunteers who all make Hunter Soccer the unique, and strong community group that it is,” explained Ralph Bocchino – President of Hunter Soccer Club. “We are having this golf outing as a fundraiser since our Jack Walsh Memorial Tournament, our major fundraiser, was rained out last year. We needed to recoup our losses from that event so we can continue the tradition of providing scholarships to our seniors and continue our partnership with Future Players, our professional trainers for all of our kids. Thanks for all of your anticipated participation and support.”
As part of the festivities for the day, a car from Conicelli Autoplex will be donated for a hole-in-one prize and a dinner banquet will be held after golf featuring a live remote broadcast the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show hosted by Tony Leodora. The radio show is presented by Norris Sales and the outing is presented by Yuengling Brewery.
“Getting a new fundraising tournament off the ground, especially in today’s economy can be a daunting task,” explained Leodora. “However the energy and organization shown by the members of the Hunter Soccer Club board has given this event a great head start. The task of TL Golf Services is to make this a fun event – something different from the myriad of golf outings that fill the schedule – and we have a number of plans in the works to do just that.”
