New York, N.Y. (March 24, 2014)… Ben Shear, director of performance at Golf & Body NYC, the private club in Manhattan that offers golfers the ultimate setting for enhancing performance, has been named host of a new one-hour weekly show devoted to golf fitness on SiriusXM’s PGA Tour Radio. The show debuts this week.
“Golfer’s Edge” is scheduled to air from 7 to 8 p.m. EDT Mondays on Sirius channel 208 and XM channel 93, and will feature a mix of guests and call-in questions from the audience.
“Naturally, ‘Golfer’s Edge’ will focus on fitness, but we also will discuss anything else that can give a golfer an edge beyond instruction,” said Shear, who also is head strength, conditioning and biomechanics expert for numerous PGA Tour players. “There are things we all should be doing if we want to play the game at an optimum level.”
Golf & Body NYC enables its members to train like the game’s top players. In fact, Shear works with a number of PGA Tour golfers, including Luke Donald, Webb Simpson, Jason Day and Russell Henley. Shear’s total-body, multi-faceted programs are proven to improve health and golf performance for the best players in the world, top amateurs and weekend golfers at all levels. Every Golf & Body NYC membership includes a full physical evaluation by Shear’s staff and a golf swing evaluation by the professional staff.
