Volvik staff player Chella Choi finished 4th at the Kia Classic on the LPGA Tour Sunday in her quest for her first LPGA Tour victory. Choi has a Top 25 in 13 of her last 14 events on the LPGA Tour. She has now earned $267,945 this season on the LPGA after 6 events and ranks 7th on the 2014 LPGA Tour money list.
Choi has quickly become one of the top players on the LPGA Tour and she continues to climb the ranks on the Rolex Rankings. She has been a model of consistency while playing her trademark Orange Volvik golf ball. Her three Top 5’s, seven Top 10’s and 17 Top 25’s in 2013 led her to a career best $739,441 in 2013, ranking her 17th on the final LPGA Tour money list.
In 2014, she has already earned two Top 5 finishes and five Top 25 finishes, including a runner up finish at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australia Open earlier this year. Choi ranks 8th in Scoring Average and 8th in Greens in Regulation so far this season.

The Top 5 finish by Choi and Top 25 finishes at the Kia Classic by Volvik staffers Meena Lee (T16) and Mi Hyang Lee (T25) has Volvik off to a torrid start in their goal to surpass their phenomenal 2013 LPGA Tour success. In 2013, Volvik staff players experienced one win, 13 Top 5 finishes, 22 Top 10 finishes and 48 total Top 25 finishes. Volvik has already experienced three Top 5’s, four Top 10’s and nine Top 25’s after six events on the 2014 LPGA Tour.
The upcoming event on the LPGA Tour is the first major championship of the year at the Kraft Nabisco Championship at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA.
Currently, four players using Volvik color golf balls rank in the Top 50 on the LPGA Tour money list: Choi – 7th, Pornanong Phatlum – 15th , Meena Lee – 36th and Mi Hyang Lee – 46th. Last year, three Volvik staff players finished in the Top 25 on the money list.
