PHILADELPHIA, PA (April 1, 2014) – After years of success as one of the premier training aids in golf, the Putting Arc is introducing a new option. The new Putting Arc MS-3D – which follows the tradition of
helping professional and amateur golfers improve their putting – has been named Product of the Month on the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show for April.
The new Putting Arc MS-3D is colored flat-black, creating much less glare in the sunlight. With years of feedback from top instructors, the Putting Arc MS-3D includes a fully adjustable, high quality, impact resistant mirror. The mirror will work for the original heel arc as well as the newer toe arc, and it is easily adjusted to measure shoulder alignment and head movement during the practice stroke. The toe arc and the mirror allow the golfer to balance their stroke while not building any kind of radial force in to the resulting stroke.
The actual surface of the Putting Arc is a three dimensional representation of the putter heel-path or toe-path as it travels back and forth on an inclined plane, thus the name MS-3D. When viewed from above, the toe of the putter travels on a very large ellipse, and the mathematical formula for ellipse was first introduced by Apollonius of Perga 2,200 years ago. This math still works today, and the ellipse of the Putting Arc is so big that wide variations in the heights and stances of golfers still seem to work.
Putting Arc users from under five feet to well over six feet have recorded professional wins, using every kind of putter. Since the first recorded win by a known Putting Arc user at the Scandinavian Masters in 2002, users have recorded over 1,200 professional wins, have won one or more of every professional major, have won one or more of 10 of the 13 USGA National Championships, and a two week user still holds the all-time PGA Tour scoring record of 254. You don’t have to use it for weeks or months to see an improvement in your putting.
The Putting Arc MS-3D is also made in the United States of America.
“Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?” says GolfTalk Live host, Tony Leodora. “I have seen golfers using The Putting Arc for years and benefiting from it. Obviously, a few new wrinkles have been added to an industry standard.”
