Cleveland-based personalized jewelry company to award champion and low amateur charms at 18th green ceremony on Sunday
CLEVELAND, OHIO, April 2, 2013 – Spring is in full bloom this week at Mission Hills Country Club in beautiful Rancho Mirage, California where the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship (KNC) will host more than 100 of the top women golfers from around the world. As one of the longest and most celebrated events in golf, players are looking to leaving their mark on LPGA history.
“These women, regardless of the place in this tournament, truly have reason to celebrate,” says Heather Moore. “Competitions such as this define who you are, and the experiences that come with it are timeless.”
Moore’s company, Heather Moore Jewelry, is not only a 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship sponsor, but also the designer of the 2014 Champions Charm and Low Amateur Charm. The charms in Moore’s collection use a freehand stamping technique by using steel stamps milled in her own studio in Cleveland, Ohio. This gives her the ability to replicate things such as handwriting, family crests and logos such as The Kraft Nabisco Championship insignia adorned on each of the winners’ charms.
“We are very excited to partner with Heather Moore Jewelry to introduce the new Champion and Low Amateur charms,” says Gabe Codding, KNC Tournament Director. “These special gifts will become an important part of the tournament’s tradition for years to come.”
The 2014 Champions Charm and Low Amateur Charm can be seen on display at the Heather Moore Jewelry booth in the KNC Fan Zone.

About the Kraft Nabisco Championship
The Kraft Nabisco Championship is golf’s first major and one of the LPGA Tour’s most prestigious events. Founded in 1972 by David Foster and Dinah Shore, the Kraft Nabisco Championship earned the designation as a major tournament in 1983. Contested at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif., since its inception, the Championship holds the distinction of being the second oldest golf tournament continuously held at the same course. For many, the event is most distinguished by one of golf’s most beloved traditions: the champion’s leap into Poppie’s Pond, located adjacent to the 18th green. In 1988, the first champion’s leap into Poppie’s Pond was taken by Amy Alcott, and since has become one of the most anticipated and memorable traditions in golf.
