El Bosque Mexico Championship winner uses Aldila’s Tour Blue to help land 2nd victory of season
POWAY, Calif. – For the third year in a row Aldila has captured both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at Augusta. This year, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” was led by their most popular shaft series, Tour Blue and Tour Green.
When play began at the season’s first Major championship, Aldila had nine more wood shafts in play and three times the number of hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. So far this season Aldila has won the wood shaft manufacturer count at 20 of 22 events and won the hybrid shaft manufacturer count at 22 of 22 events on Tour.
“Knowing that the best players in the world have come to rely on Aldila as their preferred shaft of choice when competing at the highest levels is an honor and the ultimate demonstration of the superior performance of our shafts,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering and Product Development.
The Most Accurate Driver at Augusta benefitted from the outstanding performance and unparalleled consistency of Aldila’s Tour Blue shaft in his Driver, 3 Wood, 5 Wood and 7 Wood. He finished the tournament with an overall Driving Accuracy Percentage of 85.71 percent.
Aldila also had the #1 Driver Shaft Brand Model – Tour Blue 75, the #1 Wood Shaft Brand Model – Tour Blue 75; and the #1 Hybrid Shaft Brand Model – Tour Green 65 at the season’s first Major.
On the Web.com Tour, Aldila’s Tour Blue shaft was instrumental for the winner of the El Bosque Mexico Championship. He played Aldila’s Tour Blue 105 TX shaft in his hybrid club en route to his second win of the season on the Web.com Tour and with the winning prize of $126,000 he moved to No. 1 on the Regular Season money list. In fact, the Top 3 finishers at the Mexico Open all played Aldila shafts and the Tour Blue 65 was the leading Driver Shaft Brand Model.
“Aldila’s Tour Blue/Green shafts are engineered with Next Generation Micro Laminate Technology™ to maximize the power of your golf swing,” Oldenburg said. “The Tour Blue is moderate stiff tip shaft and very low torque designed for a slightly higher ball flight with low to moderate spin rate. The Tour Green is a stiff tip shaft with moderate torque designed for lower/penetrating ball flight producing a lower spin rate.”
According to Oldenburg, the shaft profiles of the Tour Blue and Tour Green have a constant taper to provide exceptional feel and a smooth, controlled release. The shafts are made with the latest generation of Aldila’s Micro Laminate materials (MLT). The ultra thin, ultra strong material allows for the construction of a shaft with outstanding performance and unparalleled consistency.
“Aldila’s Next Generation Micro Laminate Technology is comprised of ultra-thin layers of premium, low resin aerospace grade materials,” he said. “This design evolution eliminates inconsistent shaft performance caused by material variability. Redesigned tooling also raises the shaft balance point, making this the perfect upgrade for today’s modern club head designs.”
Aldila (www.aldila.com) offers patented shaft design technologies that consistently outperform other shafts available. This technology advantage is the reason Aldila is the most popular graphite shaft on the PGA Tour. Tour professionals recognize Aldila’s advanced performance and year after year that there are more Aldila wood and hybrid shafts in play on Tour than any other shaft manufacturer. Whether the Micro Laminate Technology™ first introduced in Aldila NV™, the most popular graphite ever or today’s Next Generation Micro Laminate Technology, Aldila engineers are continually pushing and advancing high performance graphite golf shaft technology well beyond any other manufacturer.
