SACRAMENTO, Ca — FitGolf Performance Centers, The Golf Fitness Experts™ in Sacramento, Ca took part in the Ryan Winther Golf Classic at Rancho Murieta Country Club last Friday. The tournament raised money for juniors in order to grow the game of golf. At the end of the day, Ryan Whinther stole the show with his record breaking 235.1 mph ball speed.
“We had the opportunity to not only see a world record shattered, but also the opportunity to contribute to the game of golf and the junior golf programs that the proceeds of this tournament went to,” said Greg Johnson, trainer at FitGolf Sacramento. “It’s exciting to see clients achieve lofty goals, but world records are even more exciting. Ryan was already the longest, fastest hitter on the planet, but with the work he has been putting in continues to allow him to get better.”
Greg continued, “We’ve spent time working with Ryan’s hips, as well as a lot of maintenance and injury prevention work. When you swing as hard as he does and as often as he does, you’re bound to have injuries here and there. The goal is to try to diminish the problems that are causing the injuries and focus on strengthening his weaknesses, but he doesn’t have many.”
