(Flagler Beach, FL) – At its first-ever company-wide meting today, CEO Jim McCarthy discussed with staff and investors the positive strides taken by the newly-launched putter manufacturer in just its first 75 days in business. Held at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville (FL), a key account for the company, McCarthy revealed some surprising milestones and set the path for the short and long-term direction of the company.
Among the highlights of the company’s fast-paced industry traction:
• Cure Putters was voted among the top new products at the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show
• The Cure Putter has received positive press that has yielded news articles and clips in the US market and with stories published abroad in four different languages
• Cure Putters have been sold on four different continents and 32 states through green grass stores and on its website
• The Cure RX2 has been put into play in four Champions Tour events, including positive statistical gains by Billy Andrade at the Allianz Championship and Bill Glasson at the Insperity Championship
• Partnerships have been created at numerous PGA Tour and Champions Tour events for sponsorships and tee gift package prizes
• Sales force was launched April 1st and there are now 10 sales representatives in 17 states servicing more than 1000 active green grass accounts
• The goal is to expand to all 48 continental states with 15 reps by June 1
• Manufacturing contracts have been signed with Boston-area company H&S Tool, making the putter 100% made in America
Said McCarthy to his team, “We have assembled an all-star line up of engineers, marketers, sales people, production and Tour staff veterans to help steer this company.” He continued, “For a company that is essentially 75 days old, we have made incredible strides. Our goals are high, but we know from the feedback we are getting from tour players, PGA professionals, and amateurs that we have a game-changing product the likes of which have not been seen in the putter business since the Ping Anser. We are excited beyond belief to get this putter into the hands of every amateur and professional golfer we can.”
Founded by PGA Professional, Jeff Ryan, and partner Steve Davis, an architect with a scratch handicap, the Veritas Golf Company has invented what former PGA TOUR Commissioner Deane Beman has called “the most technologically advanced putters ever made.” Mr. Beman was so impressed he joined the company and he has collaborated with Mr. Davis on the designs of the next generation of Cure Rx Putters and he has become a major investor in the business.
The first putter invented by Davis, the Cure Rx1 Putter, represented a breakthrough in putter engineering from several perspectives. Based on the highest MOI face in the industry and adjustable lie angles, and adjustable weighting, Beman says “the Rx1 made every other putter obsolete.”
Beman and Davis took that science-based philosophy one step further to develop the revolutionary Cure Rx2 Putter, which incorporates the eye-popping triangulation alignment system developed by Beman. This stunning new putter is simply easier to align than traditional linear alignment putters. The ball forms the “point” of a triangle with the two alignment discs on the heel and toe of the putter. This triangle can be easily, naturally and dependably aimed on the line of the putt. Combined with all the features of the RX1, the Cure Rx2 Putter Triangulation Alignment system is the cure for misalignment. In addition to the highest MOI in the industry and adjustable weighting, the Cure RX Putters offer a completely adjustable lie angle enabling the golfer to fully customize his or her putter.
Beman says, “The Cure Rx Putters are the best feeling and most technically advanced putters ever made.” He continued, “Golf instructors have tested thousands of golfers, and found that the vast majority, including PGA Tour pros, cannot, and do not, aim their putter where they think they are aimed. The Cure Rx2 Putter is the best prescription available.”
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Confidence Revolution,” stated McCarthy at the close of the meeting. “The gift that Deane and Steve have given us – have given to this game, Deane as his true legacy – is a putter that instills, inspires and creates confidence. While we may be in the putter business, and while our putters are the only truly customizable and personalized putters available, and while we are certainly always innovators, and while our goal is always to be a game changer, we are truly, at our core, in our culture and in our products, in the business of creating confidence. If the goal of every golfer who steps onto the course is to stand over a putt with confidence and with less stress, then Cure Putters will lead that revolution. We are in the confidence business, and with confidence comes better performance and a more enjoyable golf experience.”
About Veritas Golf Company: Veritas Golf is an engineering-based company, producing innovative golf equipment that is “Engineered To Inspire Confidence.” Its first invention, the Veritas VG1 Putter, represented a breakthrough in putter engineering from several perspectives. A famous architect, Louis Sullivan, coined the phrase “form follows function.” Veritas Golf has created a new “form” of putter based on the functional requirements of lie adjustability and increased moment of inertia that resulted is a putting breakthrough. Its second invention in collaboration with Deane Beman, the Cure Rx2 Putter, is a breakthrough in putter alignment.
