TINLEY PARK, Illinois, April 21, 2014- Bettinardi Golf ambassador Matt Kuchar rallied with a final-round 7-under 64 to capture the RBC Heritage title on Sunday, earning his first PGA Tour victory in 2014 and seventh overall on the PGA Tour. Kuchar trusted his Bettinardi Kuchar Model 1 Arm Lock throughout the tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Kuchar, who was coming off three consecutive top-5 finishes, was determined to win as he holed out his bunker shot on 18 for birdie to seal the deal.
“Matt has been playing extremely well over the last four weeks, and it was finally his turn on Sunday for the victory,” said Bob Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf. “We are extremely proud to have Matt as part of the Bettinardi tour staff, as he is proving to be one of the elite golfers in the world with his excellent play.”
Kuchar, who now leads the PGA Tour with 8 top-10 finishes in 11 events in 2014, also moved to No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Standings and No. 5 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Kuchar uses a Bettinardi Kuchar Model 1 Arm Lock which is 44 ¾ inches in length, has 7 degrees of loft, and a 17 inch Bettinardi grip. His Arm Lock putter will remain legal when the anchoring ban goes into effect in 2016.

ABOUT MATT KUCHAR:
A seven-time PGA Tour winner, Matt Kuchar has cemented himself as one of the sport’s top competitors. His most recent victory at the 2014 RBC Heritage vaulted him to No. 5 in the Official World Golf Rankings and came following top-5 finishes in each of the previous three tournaments, including a tie for fifth at the Masters. His 2013 campaign was similarly memorable, as he triumphed at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and The Memorial Tournament and also was a member of the victorious U.S. Presidents Cup team. Those achievements built on the success he enjoyed in 2012, where he defeated a tough field to win The Players Championship and also tied for third at the Masters, tied for ninth at the Open Championship, qualified to play for the United States Ryder Cup team and finished with nine top-10s on the PGA Tour. A member of the victorious Team USA squad in the 2011 Presidents Cup, Matt also brought victory to the U.S. as the OMEGA Mission Hills World Cup champion. Matt’s 2010 campaign was marked by his achievement of more top-10 finishes (11) than any other golfer and his first Ryder Cup selection. He also earned numerous accolades that year, including the Vardon Trophy and Byron Nelson Award for lowest scoring average, as well as the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Award for finishing first on the money list.
Prior to turning pro in 2000, Matt graduated from Georgia Tech, where he was a two-time, first-team All-American golfer. The U.S. Amateur Champion in 1997, he received the 1998 Haskins Award as the nation’s top collegiate golfer and was the low amateur at both The Masters and U.S. Open in 1998. A native of Winter Park, Fla., he currently resides in Sea Island, Ga., with his wife and two sons.
