(SHELTON, Wash.) – Salish Cliffs Golf Club (www.salish-cliffs.com) – the acclaimed amenity course of Little Creek Casino Resort, located a scenic drive from Olympia and Seattle – has again been honored by a national publication, earning the No. 3 spot on Golfweek’s 2014 “America’s Best Courses You Can Play” in Washington.

Golfweek annually sends hundreds of “America’s Best” raters to review courses based on strength of routing, natural setting, conditioning, feature shaping, greens, variety and memorability of holes, maintenance and landscape management.

The new ranking is the latest of numerous accolades Salish Cliffs has secured since opening in 2011. Owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe, the Gene Bates design was recently ranked No. 9 on Golfweek’s “Best Casino Courses” list and last year it earned top-10 status on Golf Digest’s biennial “America’s Greatest Courses” by state list.

“The critical distinction Salish Cliffs continues to receive is a tribute to our golf operations team and the commitment to excellence by Little Creek Casino Resort and the Squaxin Island Tribe,” said Salish Cliffs Head Golf Professional David Kass, PGA. “The golf course is just one of many new amenities the resort now offers and has helped take the guest experience to new heights.”

Other amenities at the resort include a newly remodeled casino floor that boasts 5,500 square feet of non-smoking space with the latest slots and table games, the luxury Seven Inlets Spa, a state-of-the-art RV Park and the popular Skookum Spirit Cigar and Wine Lounge. The resort regularly attracts headline acts and entertainment at the Skookum Creek Event Center, including Kellie Pickler (April 18), Lou Gramm the “Voice of Foreigner” (May 15), Taylor Hicks (June 26) and live professional boxing.

Through September, Stay-and-Play packages start at $259 (double occupancy) and include a room for two guests, two rounds of golf, including cart and range balls, and a variety of discounts at the Salish Cliffs Grille and golf shop.

Special green fee rates can be found online at www.salish-cliffs.com for hotel guests, Primetime Players (ages 50 and older) and military personnel. Men’s and Women’s Club Memberships and 2014 Season Passes are also available.
