April 23, 2013 (Colorado Springs, CO) – Life in “The Springs” is getting a whole lot better for local golfers with the opening of a state-of-the-art Golfsmith store, offering consumers an unrivaled retail experience in the city’s largest golf store. Offering 23,000 square feet of golf utopia under the shadows of Pikes Peak, the new location enables golfers of all skills levels to work with Golfsmith’s experts to test and select the ideal gear for their game.
With three stores in the Greater Denver area, Golfsmith International is stepping up its Rocky Mountain presence as part of an aggressive North American growth strategy that will result in eight new stores this year. The new Colorado Spring location (7710 N Academy Blvd.) features four custom fitting studios, three training studios, an expansive putting green and massive product selection of the best brands in golf – with GolfTEC PGA teaching professionals and Certified Master Club Fitters to help golfers improve their games.

Golfsmith’s newest location will also focus on serving members of the armed forces, with Colorado Springs being home to the Air Force Academy and several other military bases, each with its own golf course.

Bringing the Grand Opening Celebration to “The Springs”
A Grand Opening Celebration will be held at the Colorado Springs location Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26 with a number of exciting activities including $10,000 in giveaways, all-day contests and door-buster deals, hot deals on new products, and demo events featuring TaylorMade’s SLDR lineup and Callaway’s new Big Bertha driver.
• Thursday, April 24 – TaylorMade Thursday will feature contests all day for the latest TaylorMade merchandise, and the first 100 Customers in the store will receive a sleeve of TaylorMade golf balls and a free round of golf at Monument Hill Country Club. Contests include putting, guess your drive, and shot accuracy challenges to win TaylorMade products!
• Friday, April 25 – The first 200 customers in the store will receive their choice of Bridgestone golf balls or a Srixon Hat with additional contests all day; also be there early to register for a $1,000 shopping spree – doors open at 8:00 a.m. with the drawing at 9:15 a.m. There will be instructional clinics all day including “How to Hit Bigger Drives,” Mastering 50 Yards and In” and “Discover the Secret to Putting.”
• Saturday, April 26 – The first 100 customers in the store receive a gift from Cobra and a free massage from Elements Massage; also meet with representatives from Callaway to learn about the latest technology and try out the latest product including the all-new Big Bertha driver!
