POWAY, Calif. – With a total of 73 Tour Blue and Tour Green shafts in play, Aldila swept the shaft manufacturer counts at the Zurich Classic. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” won the driver shaft count by having 11 more driver shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila also had 37 more wood shafts and 17 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor.
So far this season, Aldila has won or tied 15 of 24 driver shaft manufacturer counts, won 22 of 24 wood shaft manufacturer counts and captured all 24 hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on tour.
Aldila was not only the top driver shaft manufacturer at the Zurich Classic, but they also had the two top driver shaft brand models, the Rogue and Tour Blue 65. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also had the top three wood shaft brand models – Rogue, Tour Blue 85 and Tour Blue 75. Aldila’s Tour Green 85 was the top hybrid shaft brand model in play.
Aldila’s Tour Blue and Tour Green shafts are engineered with the latest materials and manufacturing technology and are designed to maximize the power of each individual golfer’s swing. The shaft profiles have a constant taper to provide exceptional feel and a smooth, controlled release.
“Both the Tour Blue and Tour Green shafts are made with the latest generation of Aldila’s Micro Laminate materials (MLT) comprised of ultra-thin layers of premium, low resin aerospace grade materials,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering and Product Development. “This design evolution eliminates inconsistent shaft performance caused by material variability. Redesigned tooling also raises the shaft balance point, making this the perfect upgrade for today’s modern club head designs. The ultra thin, ultra strong material allows for the construction of a shaft with outstanding performance and unparalleled consistency.”
Aldila (www.aldila.com) offers patented shaft design technologies that consistently outperform other shafts available. This technology advantage is the reason Aldila is the most popular graphite shaft on the PGA Tour. Tour professionals recognize Aldila’s advanced performance and year after year that there are more Aldila wood and hybrid shafts in play on Tour than any other shaft manufacturer. Whether the Micro Laminate Technology™ first introduced in Aldila NV™, the most popular graphite ever or today’s Next Generation Micro Laminate Technology, Aldila engineers are continually pushing and advancing high performance graphite golf shaft technology well beyond any other manufacturer.
