CHICAGO, April 29, 2014 – Wilson Golf is launching the newest tool to help golfers at every level improve and achieve new goals on the course. “GearUp” is a digital resource developed to bring golfers to the range with a purpose.
The website provides tips across five categories: playing tips and drills, mental game tips, equipment suggestions, rules and etiquette, and fitness and nutrition.
“Tour players receive multifaceted coaching that enhances their performance on the course,” comments President of Wilson Golf, Tim Clarke. “Amateurs have every opportunity to obtain this training utilizing GearUp.”
The site not only categorizes the five types of tips, but differentiates the tips based on six unique player profiles, or skill levels. Whether the player is a premium avid golfer (feel, control or distance), or recreational player having just sparked a recent interest in the game (advanced, intermediate or beginner), GearUp has tips and equipment for everyone. The user is first encouraged to read through the player profiles and identify with one, and then implement the corresponding tips in upcoming practice sessions.
“It’s not fair to assume new golfers to the game can execute a flop shot when they need to first learn proper grip and alignment, which is why we’ve broken it down accordingly,” explains Clarke. “That’s what makes this game improvement site strategic and unique.”
Golfers should work to master the tips in their player profile, and strive over time to challenge themselves into the next skill level and equipment type.
