Iconic courses of southwest Ireland, historic Evian Resort to host destination golf experiences
(ORLANDO, Fla.) – The ANNIKA Academy – Hall-of-Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam’s boutique golf instruction and fitness school – announces Destination Golf Experiences will be held in Ireland and France in 2014.
For the second-consecutive year the Academy has organized an Ireland itinerary in partnership with Celtic Golf (www.celticgolf.com), one of the world’s leading golf-tour operators. From October 13-17, the team will visit the iconic golf clubs of Ballybunion, Dooks, Killarney, Tralee and Waterville. On-course instruction from the Academy team will be tailored to mastering the nuances of links golf.
The program is $4,950 per person (based on single occupancy). It includes six nights’ accommodations at the five-star Killarney Park Hotel (www.killarneyparkhotel.ie), ground transportation, greens fees, instruction and full Irish breakfast daily. Roundtrip airfare to Shannon International Airport (SNN) is not included.
“Feedback from last year’s Ireland experience was exceptional, so we’re excited to once again offer an opportunity to play some of the world’s greatest links courses,” says Mike Pryor, Director of Golf at the ANNIKA Academy. “The team members leading instruction have played links golf for decades and will expertly relay techniques crucial to enjoying the seaside game.”
France’s Evian Resort is located in the country’s stunning Rhone-Alpes region and annually hosts the LPGA’s fifth major, the Evian Masters. The three-day Destination Golf Experience will take place August 8-10. A cocktail reception and dinner with Annika and her team; Annika-led skills clinic; full-swing and short-game instruction; and 27 holes of golf are some of the highlights.
The experience starts at $9,500 per person (based on single occupancy). This includes all of the above as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and three nights’ accommodations at the resort’s Hotel Royal.
“Evian is one of my favorite places in the world and the golf school overlooking Lake Geneva is the perfect place for guests of any age or skill level to learn our ‘Winning Approach,'” says Annika, a three-time winner of the Evian Masters.
The ANNIKA Academy will also host two U.S.-based Destination Golf Experiences in 2014: Lake Tahoe (July 16-19) and The Greenbrier Resort (August 28-31).
