SAN MARCOS, CA, May 12, 2014… Gauge Design Golf, a premium golf company known for creating the most precise milled putters in the golf industry, today introduced the new SPI-1 Joseph Putter featuring a patented insert technology.
Gauge Golf Design has taken its popular Joseph blade head style and added a sole insert. This patented insert innovation makes for a great visual effect, optimal weight distribution, and frames the ball very well. The insert is made from aluminum, allowing for more weight to be placed in the heel and toe sections of the putter. This weight distribution expands the sweet spot while keeping a traditional look.
“Our goal in designing this putter was to take a classic head shape and enhance its performance by changing the weight distribution,” stated David Whitlam, Founder and President, Gauge Design Golf. “By adding an aluminum sole insert, we were able to put more weight in the heel and toe which improves performance on off-center putts and maintains a solid feel at impact.”
The SPI-1 Joseph Putter features a precision milled 303 stainless steel body in the heel, toe and face and a 6061 aluminum sole insert. It is available with a red or black insert and comes standard with a 71-degree lie, 3.5-degree loft, and 350-gram head weight. It is available in lengths from 32″ – 36″. MSRP is $325.
