The new store features state-of-the-art custom fitting capabilities and an interactive, try-before-you-buy environment-enabling golfers of all skills levels to work with Golfsmith experts to test and select the ideal gear for their game.
Golfsmith’s new Champions location, situated in Northwest Houston on FM 1960 near Willowbrook Mall, brings the company’s Houston footprint to six stores in one of the country’s hottest golf markets. The new store includes four custom fitting studios, an expansive putting green and massive product selection of the best brands in golf, as well as GolfTEC training studios with PGA teaching professionals and Certified Master Club Fitters to help golfers improve their games. It also provides a relaxing space for golfers who simply want to stop by and talk with like-minded golf nuts, hit some putts or swing the latest gear in a simulator.

Grand Opening Celebration
A Grand Opening Celebration will be held at the Houston Champions location (5319 FM 1960 Rd W) Thursday, May 15 through Saturday, May 17 with a number of exciting activities including $10,000 in giveaways, Hank Haney clinics, all-day contests and door-buster deals, and demo events featuring Callaway’s new Big Bertha driver and Cobra Bio Cell lineup.
• “TaylorMade Thursday” May 15 – TaylorMade Thursday will feature contests all day for the latest TaylorMade merchandise, and the first 100 Customers in the store will receive a sleeve of TaylorMade golf balls. Skills contests include putting, guess your drive, and shot accuracy challenges to win TaylorMade products!
• “Shopping Spree Friday” May 16 – The first 200 customers in the store will receive their choice of Bridgestone golf balls or a Srixon Hat with additional contests all day; also be there early to register for a $1,000 shopping spree – doors open at 8:00 a.m. with the drawing at 9:15 a.m.
• “Demo Saturday” May 17 – Renowned instructor Hank Haney will be in-store broadcasting his SiriusXM radio show live, followed by free instructional clinics and giving a lesson to one lucky customer. Customers can meet with representatives from Callaway and Cobra to try out the latest products including the new Big Bertha driver!
