Putting Arc #1 Putting Training Aid

May 19, 2014

The Putting Arc proved to be the #1 most used putting training aid in the 2014 Golf Range Association of America survey of the top golf instructors in the country. Based on the response of 130 of these top instructors it was not only ranked #1 as a putting aid, but also was #5 on the overall list of most used training aids. While golf instructors don’t always agree on the most effective methods of teaching the golf swing, all agree that repetition of the proper motion will build proper muscle memory. This is the key selling point of the Putting Arc.

Instructors point out it’s based upon natural body movement, which can be quickly learned and repeated. The putter is always ‘on plane’ (the sweet-spot/spinal pivot plane). The clubface is always square to the above plane. It is only square to the ball target line at the center line of the Putting Arc. Golfers learn an inside-to-square-to-inside putting stroke with only one moving part–the hands, arms and shoulders rotating as one unit. No manipulation of the hands or arms is required to follow the correct path with a correct clubface.

“As an instructor, the most important issue is getting the student to feel a correct stroke,” noted Mike Shannon of the Sea Island (GA) Learning Center. “Using the Putting Arc is the best way to do this. Repeated use of the Putting Arc develops muscle memory that will result in the best stroke possible. Without a doubt, it is still the best putting aid.”

Golf’s greatest players have used the Putting Arc to help them develop their putting strokes for the past 13 years and have ended up as champions more than 1,200 times. The professional who set the all-time PGA Tour scoring record was among this number.

The latest model of the Putting Arc, the MS-3D, has added a new element that was requested by instructors–a fully adjustable, high quality, impact resistant mirror which allows golfers to check shoulder alignment and head movement. It also features the heel/toe arc that was so popular on the Deluxe HD model, and its lighter weight and water proof design makes it a perfect choice.
