RM-12 wedge in play for winner of HP Byron Nelson Championship
IRVINE, Calif. (May 19, 2014) – Fourteen Golf, one of the industry’s premier golf club manufacturers, is proud to be in the bag of another champion on the PGA TOUR. The winner of the HP Byron Nelson Championship had the RM-12 in his bag, finishing at 14-under par en route to a two-shot win and his first PGA TOUR title.
“This is just the latest example of how our wedges are performing at the highest level,” said Marcy Kamoda, the COO of Fourteen Golf. “Without a doubt, we believe the RM-12 is the best wedge in golf, and the skillful play around the green by the HP Byron Nelson Championship winner is a strong testament to the club’s performance. We’re honored that Fourteen Golf could be an integral part of his first PGA TOUR victory.”
The tournament winner had a 60-degree RM-12 with a KBS TOUR 125g shaft in his bag, and he’s played Fourteen Golf wedges since his amateur days. Last year, he won the Web.com Tour’s Stadion Classic at UGA at his collegiate golf course while using the RM-12.
The RM-12 features expanded, trapezoidal grooves that offer exceptional spin control in any weather conditions. Its “reverse muscle design” evenly distributes the weight through the club head, yielding greater stability through impact.
In all, 21 Fourteen Golf wedges were in play at the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
