FORT WORTH, TX – May 19, 2014 – UST Mamiya, maker of the world’s finest carbon fiber golf shafts, reports the 1st place finisher at the PGA Tour HP Byron Nelson Championship relied on an ATTAS Elements® hybrid shaft in his TaylorMade® RBZ hybrid.

The winner finished with rounds of 68, 64, 68 and 66 (-14) to claim his first PGA Tour victory, and jumps to 11th place in the FedEx Cup standings.

“UST Mamiya wants to congratulate the winner of the HP Byron Nelson Championship,” said Robb Schikner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “ATTAS Elements provide greater stability in the mid-section of the shaft for ideal launch and spin for ideal launch and spin, creating maximum distance and greater accuracy.”

UST Mamiya’s advanced research lab has developed new data that proves Mid-Flex Stability is the most important feature in the golf shaft for spin and launch. Mid-Flex Stability Benefits:

• Reduction of drooping in order maintain acceleration forces at impact

• Reduction of orbiting in toe/heel and front back flexion to eliminate loft, spin and face angle distortions to reduce dispersion

• Redistribution of torque through the shaft in order to maximize head and ball speed

UST Mamiya produces a variety of shaft models, including the renowned Recoil™, Elements®, PROFORCE® and ATTAS™ lines, which have received significant usage on major professional tours internationally. Paralleling its achievements at the professional level, the company’s shafts have remained the top-selling aftermarket option in the United States for the past seven years.

Knowing that every golfer who installs a new shaft will also need a grip, UST Mamiya offers a line of premium offerings. They include the Tour PC 360™, Soft Touch™, Soft Touch Lite™, Soft Touch Wrap™ and ST1™ putter grips.
