Los Alamitos, CA – May 29, 2014 – Haus of Grey, the holding company to MATTE GREY and HEATHER GREY brands announces its inaugural tournament, #TheORIGINAL Golf Invitational benefiting Cancer For College Charity, on Monday June 30, 2014.

The event will be held at Monarch Beach Golf Links, located in Dana Point, California. The format will be an 18-hole 2-Man Best Ball team format for men, women, youth, and co-ed teams, with prizes for both Net and Gross divisions. The event also includes both MATTE GREY and HEATHER GREY clothing packages valued over $150 per player, fun alliance brand giveaways setup on every hole, concluding with a #HausParty with local eateries, food trucks, craft beer, wine & mixology bar. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and tee-off is at 1 p.m.

Travis Johnson, Founder and President, states, “We look forward to sharing a great day together with family, friends, partners, and supporters of our brands, all in celebration of this great game at a beautiful location, all for a great cause and beneficiary Cancer for College.”

Cancer for College (CFC) was founded in 1994 by Craig Pollard, a two-time cancer survivor. Craig fought back from Hodgkin’s disease when he was just 15. He won his second battle at age 19, after a bone marrow transplant at the City of Hope Medical Center. “Knowing that I would ultimately return to college after my bone marrow transplant gave me the strength to keep fighting. It gave me a reason to live,” said Pollard. To help provide others with this inspiration, he created Cancer for College (cancerforcollege.org). With support of Craig’s college friend and celebrity Will Farrell, Cancer for College has provided over $1.75 million in scholarships to over 1,000 cancer survivors. Last year, Cancer for College staged five fundraising events and awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to cancer survivors and amputees.

“Haus of Grey is honored to support Cancer For College and inspire cancer survivors and amputees to have the college experience they desire. Few things are more important than education. We are grateful for our partners who have joined us to support Craig and his team to make a difference,” shares Kari Willis, Director of Communication at Haus of Grey.

Eric Lohman, General Manager of Monarch Beach Golf Links, shared “We are honored to have The Original at our course and look forward to welcoming Haus of Grey and Cancer for College in June.”

To register, sponsor a team of players, sponsor a hole or donate an item to the raffle, email theoriginal@hausofgrey.com with “Golf” as the subject line.
