Thai star relies on patented E-DTS outsole technology
(Londonderry, NH) – Danish company ECCO – a leading manufacturer of innovative footwear – confirms that Staff Player Thongchai Jaidee wore its Tour Hybrid golf shoes featuring E-DTS outsole technology en route to capturing the Nordea Masters this past weekend at PGA Sweden National in Malmö.
Showcasing the ECCO logo on shirt collar, Jaidee made six birdies and an eagle on his way to a final round 65, finishing the week at 16-under 272. The 44-year-old Thai star then claimed his sixth European Tour title with a birdie on the first hole of a three-way playoff.
“This week was amazing and I’m so happy to win my first trophy in mainland Europe,” said Jaidee. “This is special for my family, all Thai people and those who have supported me.”
Like all ECCO shoes in the hybrid category pioneered by the company, Tour Hybrid is built atop the patented E-DTS outsole. Boasting approximately 100 moulded traction bars and 800 traction angles, it is constructed from TPU – a highly durable, wear-resistant material – that helps provide superb, Tour-quality grip.
“Thongchai’s continues to distinguish himself as one of Asia’s all-time great golfers,” says Jesper Thuen, Global Sponsorship, PR & Event Manager – ECCO Golf. “His game is quite sharp right now and he’s really embracing the performance, comfort, style and convenience offered by our Tour Hybrid shoe.”
In addition to Jaidee, the ECCO Golf collection is endorsed by scores of Tour stars worldwide, including Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjørn, Marcel Siem, Andreas Hartø, Wu Ashun, Will Wilcox, JB Hansen, Belén Mozo, Caroline Masson and Gerina Piller.
