Darrell Survey shows 97 percent of players use Bushnell
Overland Park, KS, June 19, 2014 – Maintaining its dominance for more than a decade, Bushnell once again proves to be the distance-measuring device of choice for PGA Tour players and their caddies according to the most recent Darrell Survey Report. With 97 percent of the THE PLAYERS Championship field reporting their trust in Bushnell laser rangefinders and 90 percent of all Tour caddies relying on Bushnell to obtain accurate yardages for their players, Bushnell remains the overwhelming distance-measuring device choice on the PGA Tour.
Led by the Pro X7 Slope, Bushnell products dominated THE PLAYERS Championship’s world-class field, which included nine of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). Regarded as the golf industry’s authority on equipment usage for more than 75 years, The Darrell Survey proved the world’s elite professional golfers trust Bushnell more than any other distance-measuring company.
“The best players in golf need and want the most trusted equipment to help them prepare for tournament week, and Bushnell laser rangefinders’ No. 1 position in the Darrell Survey again validates the brand’s significance to world-class players,” said Phil Gyori, Vice President of Product Development at Bushnell. “Bushnell has long been committed to delivering golfers – not just at the professional level, but at all levels – with the highest-quality rangefinders, and we will continue to strive for excellence and continue to innovate in the golf distance-measuring device category.”
Designed to cater to the overwhelming number of professional golfers and caddies using their products, Bushnell’s latest innovation is the recently introduced Pro X7 Jolt Slope featuring incredible ranging capabilities of up to one mile (550+ yards to a flag). The new Jolt Technology reinforces the laser has locked onto the target by providing short, vibrating bursts; while the Vivid Display Technology provides users with the optimum digital readout information in all lighting conditions. The unprecedented accuracy of 2nd generation E.S.P (Extreme. Speed. Precision) provides yardage five times faster and more accurately than ever before. Not only has acquisition speed been increased to a lightning fast level, E.S.P. provides 1?2 yard accuracy from five to 125 yards, and the distance is displayed to 1/10th of a yard. Additionally, Slope Technology provides golfers compensated distances based on the degree of slope and is available in a tournament-legal, non-Slope version.
Bushnell, the No. 1 choice of professional golfers, offers a full range of rangefinders, which continue to transform and improve golfer’s ability to assess distances, ultimately improving performance.
Use of distance measuring devices is covered by the USGA’s Decision (14-3/0.5 Local Rule Permitting Use of Distance Measuring Device), which sets forth that players are allowed to use these in rounds conducted under the Rules of Golf when the Committee adopts the Local Rule, as long as they only measure distance.
