The PGA of Australia and Trackman are pleased to announce an extended partnership to provide additional benefits to both the PGA and PGA trainees until 2017.
Trackman is well-known for developing, producing, and selling TrackMan technology including TrackMan Pro and TrackMan Simulator. TrackMan is regarded as the golf industry’s most accurate golf ball launch, golf ball flight, and club delivery measurement technology.
It is also well known for its research and discovery on the significant club and ball dynamics most important in determining shot results.
TrackMan also collects and publishes significant data relating to player ability and skill assessment – data collected from the TrackMan Combine and PGA TOUR/LPGA Tour averages.
TrackMan University is a product result of this combined research, knowledge, and publication.
The renewed agreement provides all PGA Trainees with access to TrackMan University, ensuring that future Members of the Association incorporate the most accurate club and ball dynamics information into their coaching, club-fitting, and playing.
In addition, the PGA will make use of TrackMan University in developing training and assessment materials for all Members, while officially certifying Trainees within the TrackMan accreditation structure as Level I and Level II Certified Trainee Professionals.
“The PGA is pleased to partner with TrackMan, a globally recognised premium brand and product,” said Brian Thorburn, Chief Executive Officer of the PGA of Australia.
“The resources available to Trainees via TrackMan University Membership will add even further value to the PGA’s Trainee Program ensuring our Members remain at the forefront of golf coaching.”
TrackMan CEO, Dr Klaus Eldrup-Jorgensen reiterated Thorburn’s point further by declaring, “We are inspired by PGA of Australia’s pioneering vision to elevate the quality of golf coaching amongst their membership.”
“By requiring all of their PGA Trainees, future PGA Members, to learn and demonstrate mastery for critical principles like geometry of the golf swing and physics of impact (via TrackMan University Certification) – this decision by PGA to engage our partnership to a new level will have a lasting positive impact on golf coaching and performance in Australia and beyond.”
TrackMan is a valued Partner in Education with the PGA and is also a Technology Partner as the system of choice for the PGA. TrackMan Pro systems are utilised by the PGA Centre for Learning and Performance and also available for use by all PGA Members.
