LPGA Tour professionals using Volvik golf balls earned a Top 5, Top 10 and Top 15 finish at the U.S. Women’s Open Sunday. The three Volvik players were using three different color golf balls at the major event: Meena Lee (T5th – Yellow), Pornanong Phatlum (T7th- Pink) and Chella Choi (T15th – Orange).
All three players currently rank in the Top 25 on the 2014 LPGA Tour money list. Choi is ranked 9th, Lee is 17th and Phatlum ranks 22nd on the money list after their top finishes at Pinehurst #2.

• The 5th place finish for Lee was her best ever finish in an LPGA Major event in her 10-year LPGA Tour career. Lee finished the U.S. Women’s Open ranked T9th in Total Putts with 120 and ranked T14th in Fairways Hit, hitting 45 of 56 fairways for 80% accuracy. For the #17 ranked Lee, it was her third Top 10 and fifth Top 20 of the 2014 season.
• Thailand’s Phatlum also experienced her highest finish in a Major event at Pinehurst #2, earning her first Top 10 in a Major in her five year career. At Pinehurst this week, she ranked T2 in Greens in Regulation with 51 of 72 holes reached in regulation and finished 2nd in Fairways Hit, hitting 49/56, with an amazing 87% hit. For the 22nd ranked Phatlum, the Top 10 finish was her fourth of the season and her seventh Top 25. She has earned a Top 25 in five straight events.
• Choi ranked T10 in Greens in Regulation at the U.S. Women’s Open, hitting 48 / 72 (66%) of the greens in regulation. For the #9 ranked Choi, it was her 12th Top 25 finish of 2014. She now has a Top 25 in 20 of her last 23 LPGA Tour events, dating back to 2013.
