ORLANDO, Fla. – June 26, 2014…With summer vacation hitting stride, and as part of its junior golf initiative, Marriott Golf Academy℠, located at Marriott’s Grande Vista resort in Orlando, Fla., today announced summer golf programming for juniors ages 7-15. The summer junior golf programs are available to first-time golfers and boys and girls of all skill levels, as participants will be grouped according to age and playing ability.
Summer camp sessions will be held July 7-11 and August 4-8, 2014. Each session will run Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as junior golfers will work with certified instructors on all aspects of their game, including short game development, full swing development and on-course instruction time. The programming is designed to match each student’s ability, and the curriculum incorporates many fun activities and is flexible to ensure learning is paced for each student.
As part of the weekly golf camp, all participants will receive a personal club fitting evaluation, and complimentary U.S. Kids golf equipment will be available if needed. The tuition is $249 per student, per week and includes daily lunch and refreshments. It also includes a complimentary round of golf for the junior and a $15 parent round to play at the on-site Grande Vista Golf Club.
For those junior golfers just starting out and/or for those seeking to fine tune their skills in a fun and welcoming environment, the Wednesday evening clinic series is a terrific option. Every Wednesday, until August 27, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., a junior golf clinic will be taught by a Marriott Golf Academy℠ Certified Instructor and U.S. Kids golf clubs will be available upon request. Each session will focus on a different aspect of the golf game, and the clinic series includes on-course instruction time and the integration of fun games and competition. The cost is $20 per junior, per session.
