SteelFiber Shines At Senior Players Championship

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Delivering three Top 10 money positions, Aerotech SteelFiber shafts shined bright at the Constellation Senior Players Championship this weekend. SteelFiber i110 graphite iron shafts took fifth-place and tied for sixth, while SteelFiber i95 in a hybrid claimed an additional share of sixth.

The No. 1 graphite iron shafts in golf, SteelFiber provides superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

“SteelFiber shafts are growing in popularity on the all of the world tours, and there’s no better example than the Champions Tour,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. “The SteelFiber i110s have been a particular favorite on the Champions Tour. These shafts are well suited for players who are looking for a little lighter weight than the typical steel shafted irons. The i110s enable them to pick up yardage while maintaining a low penetrating ball flight and avoiding a change in the overall feel they are accustomed to from playing steel shafts. All SteelFiber players also receive the benefits of reduced vibrations that result in fewer injuries and less fatigue during the round.”

In 2013, players with SteelFiber shafts in their irons won five events on the PGA TOUR and two events on the Champions Tour. Players with SteelFiber shafts also ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points at the end of the regular season. SteelFiber shafts were also No. 6 and No. 12 in FedEx Cup Playoff Points; and ended 2013 overall as No. 3 and No. 5 on the PGA Money List; Nos. 8 and 9 in official world rankings; and tied for first and fourth in Top 10 finishes.
