Eagles 72nd hole to capture inaugural LPGA tour title
(San Marino, CA) – Lizzie Driver – the women’s golf-lifestyle fashion brand offering sophisticated clothing for the country club fairway and everyday – confirms that Brand Ambassador Mo Martin wore a variety of its distinctive garments en route to her victory at the 2014 Women’s British Open, held this past weekend at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England.
Showcasing the Nightingale short sleeve shirt from Lizzie Driver’s Autumn 2014 collection, the 31-year-old earned her first LPGA Tour victory with a remarkably clutch eagle on the 72nd hole. That saw her second shot to the par-5 18th run onto the green and hit the flag stick. Martin then converted a six-foot putt to finish 1-under par for a one-shot win.
“I hit an absolutely perfect 3-wood and heard it hit the pin from the fairway,” said Martin. “This is just unbelievable. It’s literally a dream come true.”
Among the other apparel pieces Martin wore during the championship were Lizzie Driver’s Adair, Elisa and London short sleeve shirts, as well as the company’s Aspen shorts. Each features the flattering cuts and draping that are signatures of the line’s aesthetic.
“Mo’s approach to the game and her life really embody the ideals of our brand,” says Karen Preston, Co-Founder of Lizzie Driver. “She showed true grace under incredible pressure and achieved her inaugural LPGA title in real style.”
Countering the notion that golf clothes don’t have to be beautiful, Lizzie Driver boasts finely crafted tops, bottoms, dresses, sweaters and jackets, most of which are made in downtown Los Angeles. Included each season are several floral and graphic prints from the famed Liberty of London collection.
In an era of disposable fast-fashion and consistent price compression, Lizzie Driver has staked out a premium position by offering the very best fabrics, fit and style. Its collections are distributed through 225 better shops in more than 30 states and several international markets.

About Lizzie Driver
America’s fastest-growing women’s golf-lifestyle line, Lizzie Driver was founded in 2011 by close friends Karen Preston and Lorrie Forgatch. After successful careers in business and raising children, the two partnered to create beautiful golf apparel that aligned with their off-course wardrobes. Their vision was to develop a collection that functions equally well on the country club fairway as at meetings, social events or almost any other activity in a busy woman’s life. They christened their brand Lizzie Driver by combining their shared middle name – Elizabeth – with that of the “golf club that goes the farthest.”
Catering to women age 30 and up, Lizzie Driver filled a clear market need and has expanded quickly since its premiere at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show. Working from a philosophy of providing the very best fabrics, fit and fashion, the business grew nearly 450% last year and is poised for a record 2014.
