KZG is now introducing NovaTech’s first filament wound shaft, the AK Series. The advantage of filament winding is the shaft is manufactured without a seam or spine. The manufacturing process of filament wound shafts is similar to weaving fabric. A mandrel is affixed at both ends to a machine that rotates. Numerous spools of graphite fibers are dipped in resin and then connected to the mandrel. The fibers then run up and down the mandrel at different angles and density based on a computerized pattern; all while the mandrel is rotating.

All NovaTech shafts are parallel-tip to allow for precise custom fitting and building. AK shafts are available in a choice of black or silver. The iron model AK70 shafts are available in L, A, R, S; the wood model AK650 comes in A, R and S.
