The Inaugural Asian Golf Consumer Survey has been launched.
This survey is being conducted in conjunction with the Inaugural Southeast Asian Golf Industry/Facility Survey and the Inaugural Asian Golf Course Architects Survey which are already in the field.
Commenting on the survey, Mike Sebastian, chief executive officer of the Asia Pacific Golf Group said, “This is another ground-breaking undertaking and marks the beginning of a major effort to map the Asian golf industry insofar as the consumer is concerned.”
This survey will be managed by Golf Business Advisory Services headed up by Jeff Blunden who comes with an extensive research background in golf and golf related studies in Australia. The project is supported by the CMAA-Asia Pacific Chapter and the Asia Pacific Golf Group, the presenting partner.
More than 20,000 known golfers will be involved in this survey and the countries covered will include Japan, Mongolia, South Korea, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The findings of this key industry research undertaking will be presented at the 2014 Asia Pacific Golf Summit scheduled to be held in Singapore on November 14-15 at the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
“The full research report will be made available free of charge to anyone interested in knowing more about golf in Asia and it will be available after November 15,” said Sebastian.
