The winner of the U.S. Amateur played KBS C-TAPER 130g shafts in his irons and KBS HI-REV shafts in his wedges. This victory marks the third time in four years that the U.S. Amateur champion has had KBS in the bag.
In addition to all trusting KBS, the U.S. Amateur champions in 2011, 2012 and 2014 each played C-TAPER shafts in their irons.
“We’re really humbled to have three out of the last four U.S. Amateur champions include the C-TAPER in their bags,” said Rob Cheng, CEO of KBS Golf Shafts. “Due to the circumstances of this win, this year is especially meaningful.”
Ranked No. 776 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking prior to the tournament, the 20-year old held off a competitive field- including the World No. 1- to capture the win. He has only played four college events and is the youngest player ever to win the U.S. Amateur.
