10 SuperStroke players finish in the Top 25 at two men’s professional tour events
WIXOM, Mich. – Playing SuperStroke’s Mid Slim 2.0 grip and Odyssey putter combination, the winner at the men’s professional golf tournament in North Plains, Oregon picked up his third win of the season. With the three wins and six top 10 finishes on the season, he will be one of the top 25 professional golfers who earn their tour cards and play alongside veterans Jason Dufner and Jordan Spieth next season.
He is currently ranked eighth on the tour in Overall Putting Average with a 1.090 average through 52 rounds. At the Oregon tournament, he was tied for 13th place in Putts Per Greens in Regulation. The second place finisher at the Oregon event played a SuperStroke grip Odyssey putter combination and finished ranked 6th in Putts Per GIR.
“SuperStroke worked with Odyssey to design a 15-inch grip that has an adjustable weight plug in the butt end of the grip,” said Jon Luna, SuperStroke USA Marketing Director. “The adjustable weight option allows golfers to add five grams, 15 grams or 30 grams to the grip, depending on the player’s stroke and weight preferences. The combination has proven to be a lethal one as it has helped capture several tour wins this season.”
At the men’s event in Oregon and the men’s professional tour event at the Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey, a total of 10 players using SuperStroke grips finished in the Top 25. A second place finisher at the season’s first leg of the playoffs in New Jersey played SuperStroke’s Flatso Mid putter grip and finished first in Strokes Gained-Putting with a 2.436 total putts gained compared to the tour’s average of -.0001.
Using SuperStroke’s Flatso Ultra, Jordan Spieth finished the New Jersey tournament in a tie for 22nd place. He was fifth in Putts Per GIR for the tournament with an average of 1.628. He is currently ranked second overall on the tour for the season in Overall Putting Average with a 1.548 through 90 rounds. He ranks second in Putts Per Round with a 27.87 average and second in Putting Average with a 1.719 average through 90 rounds.
The Flatso line has three sizes: Flatso Standard, which measures 1.70 inches in diameter; Flatso Mid, which measures 1.40 inches; and Flatso Ultra, which measures 1.10 inches. Each grip features SuperStroke’s patented parallel design technology and a new patent pending pentagonal shape and flat top design. The unique parallel shape allows for even pressure in both hands, while eliminating added tension in the wrist and forearms. This helps the golfer’s arms swing more freely, which further enhances a pendulum-putting stroke.
SuperStroke (www.superstrokeusa.com) grips are long lasting and extremely shock absorbent. They are designed with a high-tech polyurethane material featuring cross traction technology that improves feel and tackiness. Combined with SuperStroke’s patented parallel technology further increases consistency and lowers scores for every level of golfer, even professionals.
