The Northern California Section of the PGA of America has awarded Greg Ciavarelli, PGA with their 2014 Club Fitter of the Year Award. Ciavarelli has been a staff professional at Haggin Oaks in Sacramento for the past six years.
The NCPGA Club Fitter of the Year Award is designed to recognize a PGA professional who has exhibited great knowledge in club fitting while striving to improve the game through properly fitted equipment.
Mike Woods, PGA, director of golf at Haggin Oaks, remarked, “We congratulate Greg on this wonderful honor. He is the perfect kind of person to work with us. He recognizes that golfers come in many varieties. There are some that work at becoming better every day. Those players are contrasted by beginners who may simply want to join a friend for a relaxing round of golf.
“Recognizing the difference and helping those people achieve their goals is paramount in Greg’s interactions. He acknowledges that, above all, golf is a game and is meant to be fun!”
In learning of his award, Ciavarelli responded, “I am truly honored to be recognized by the NCPGA as Club Fitter of the Year. Many thanks go to Haggin Oaks for providing an environment to thrive and grow as a golf professional. I am proud to represent them as an employee and recipient of such a great award.”
The NCPGA awards ceremony takes place in December.
