(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – The Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship has more than 75 vendors, including some of golf’s biggest names, exhibiting at the World’s Largest 19th Hole, held each night of the tournament at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
The World Am, which opened play Monday and concludes with the World Championship Playoff Friday at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club, is a 72-hole net stroke play tournament that attracted 3,400 players this year.
The World Am, which has participants from 48 states and 34 countries, has become a go-to event for golf companies looking to reach avid players.
Among the exhibitors at the World Am are Ecco, Sky Caddie, NexBelt and PGA Tour Superstore (Complete Exhibitor List). The event has attracted everything from putter brands and training aids to golf package companies and Goslings Rum, complementing the competitive portion of the tournament with a consumer golf show.
Companies are able to showcase their products or services at the World’s Largest 19th Hole, the tournament’s nightly party, which runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The 19th Hole, which also includes free food, open bar and live entertainment, among other activities, is the event’s social hub, attracting thousands of people each night.
“The World’s Largest 19th Hole is the perfect way for golf companies to touch not only avid golfers but people who are influencers within the game,” said Jeff Monday, World Am tournament director. “Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship participants are among the game’s most loyal players, and the exhibitor growth we’ve seen the last two years is reflective of the value companies have found in being able to interact with them. The result has been a win for the tournament, our players and exhibitors.”
