(CANMORE, Alberta) – Canadian Rockies Golf (canadianrockiesgolf.net) – the esteemed collection of mountain courses in Western Alberta – will be featured today as an “Elite Escape” on CNN International.

Airing locally at 1 p.m. MDT. during The World Right Now, the series highlights destinations that inspire visitors with their luxurious amenities, remote locations and breathtaking experiences.

“Golf in the Canadian Rockies is worth sharing with the world,” says Steven Young, Director of Golf at The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. “We’re thrilled to have our golf courses, resorts and wealth of other activities recognized as an ‘Elite Escape.'”

Other journeys to be showcased during the week-long event include touring vineyards in Florence, Italy, dining with acclaimed chefs in Tokyo, Japan and vacationing on the secluded island of Sumba, Indonesia.

“‘Elite Escapes’ will be visually stunning programming that provides viewers first-class access to the most premium of luxury and exclusive travel destinations,” said Mike McCarthy, Senior Vice President, Programming, at CNN International.

“Elite Escapes” will be complemented by a microsite where viewers can access additional video content, pictures and articles for each location.

The CNN broadcast coincides with perfect fall golf weather and shoulder season rates at Canadian Rockies Golf courses. Instant quotes for value-laden stay-and-play packages are available at www.canadianrockies.net or by calling 1.855.835.8484.
