(VIENNA, Va.) – Traditions Club – the private golf and residential community in “Aggieland” – has selected Buffalo Communications to direct public relations for its Jack Nicklaus / Jack Nicklaus II-designed course, non-golf amenities, real estate and accommodations.
The 900-acre development is located in vibrant, rapidly-growing Bryan-College Station, convenient to the Texas A&M university campus and downtown shopping, restaurants and entertainment, and just 1.5 hours from Houston, 2.5 hours from Austin and 3.5 hours from Dallas. It is adjacent to the new Texas A&M Health Science Center with direct views of legendary Kyle Field.
“Traditions Club is re-defining and revolutionizing the country club experience through innovative products with multi-generational appeal,” says Bill Horton, General Manager of Traditions Club. “We provide a stimulating environment to live, work and play, but we never forget the golf course is central to our vision.”
Home to the Texas A&M men’s and women’s golf teams, the 7,146-yard layout traverses rolling hills punctuated by thick stands of hardwoods. More than 100 feet of elevation change creates a true, Texas Hill Country atmosphere. It is ranked No. 28 in-state by Golf Digest, and 56th in the Dallas Morning News Top 100.
Traditions Club recently hosted the Texas Golf Association (TGA) Men’s Mid-Amateur Match Play Championship and is the site of the 2015 State Four-Ball Championship, one of the TGA’s four majors. Bordering to the club is the James and Sarina Goodman Family Aggie Golf Complex, one of America’s premier college golf facilities.
From cottages, casitas and condos to sprawling custom estate homes, Traditions Club features diverse residential and lodging options. Weekend and extended stays are in fully-furnished units adorned with stainless steel appliances, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, washer-dryer and WiFi.
“Traditions Club is amid a perfect storm of exciting growth, energy and enthusiasm at Texas A&M and the region at large,” says Rich Katz, Managing Director of Buffalo Communications. “We are excited to help drive brand awareness, membership and real estate sales, as well as ‘heads in beds.'”
Under construction and neighboring Traditions Club is ATLAS, the state’s first master-planned community designed for biologics and pharmaceutical companies. A boutique hotel, shops, dining, walking and biking trails and other amenities are planned.
