Sheary, the Connecticut native recently finished in the T38 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 17 for the 2014 LGPA Tour season. In 2013, Sheary had already made fifteen starts on the Symetra Tour and recorded a season-best tying for third at the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay.
Prior to her success at the LPGA Qualifying Tournament and on the 2013 Symetra Tour, Sheary made sixteen starts on the 2012 Symetra Tour and recorded two top-10 finishes, including a season best tie for fifth at the Island Resort Championship. In 2011, Natalie was just a rookie on the Symetra Tour and shortly after began her road to the LPGA Tour by recording three top-10 finishes. Shortly thereafter, Natalie Sheary turned professional in May of that year.
Yet, Sheary’s success is not limited to her title as a professional. As an amateur, Natalie recorded sixteen top-10 finishes, including three wins in collegiate play while at Wake Forest University. In 2009, she was the individual winner of the 2009 ACC Women’s Golf Championship and named the ACC Player of the Year for women’s golf. In only her freshman year at Wake Forest, she clenched the 2007 ACC Freshman of the Year title for woman’s golf. When asked about her motivation over the years, Natalie states that, “her father has been the most influencing throughout her career and she owes the credit to him”.
