NORCROSS, Ga. – U.S. Kids Golf has opened applications and nominations for the 2014 Top 50 Kids Teacher Award. Since 2004, the U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teacher Award has honored elite teaching professionals who have dedicated their careers to developing youth golf in their communities. These experienced individuals are the world’s most outstanding youth golf coaches and are devoted to helping kids foster a love for the game.

“U.S. Kids Golf programs help kids have fun learning the lifelong game of golf, and central to achieving this mission are dedicated golf professionals who share the same vision and values,” said John Bryan, Vice President of U.S. Kids Golf Foundation.

The Top 50 Kids Teachers are chosen based on their contributions to youth golf, such as: time devoted to teaching young golfers; innovation, creativity and fun in their programs; communication; parental involvement; and overall effort to grow the game. Award recipients include teachers who work at public, private, resort and municipal courses.

PGA professionals may apply for the award by visiting www.uskidsgolf.com/top-50-kids-teacher-application, and the deadline to apply is Oct. 17, 2014. Additionally, parents may submit a nomination for a golf instructor by visiting www.uskidsgolf.com/top-50-kids-teacher-parent-nomination. The nomination deadline is October 10, 2014.

The Top 50 Kids Teachers of 2014 will be announced by Dec. 9 and award recipients will be recognized on the main stage during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.
