#1 oversized grip company tallies 17 worldwide wins, $58 million in tour earnings
WIXOM, Mich. – SuperStroke, the leading oversized grip on tour, capped off another successful season by capturing 17 professional tour wins worldwide including the BMW Championship, Tour Championship and the overall FedEx Cup title.
SuperStroke added $58 million in total money earned on the tours, including the $10 million for winning the FedEx Cup title, to their running total of $125 million from the start of the season.
“To have this much continued success across the tours is absolutely amazing and it provides a lot of credibility to our patented parallel technology,” said Dean Dingman, President SuperStroke Golf. “We want to extend our congratulations and thank all of the tour players who chose SuperStroke to help them to win this past season.”
The winner of the season’s final two FedEx Cup playoff events and the overall title, relied on SuperStroke’s Flatso Ultra putting grip to card 12 successive rounds in the 60s. At the Tour Championship he finished ranked 6th in Strokes Gained-Putting with a total of .815 strokes gained. He was 6th in Putts Per Greens in Regulation with a 1.737 average. The Strokes Gained-Putting statistic was introduced to the tour in 2011 and has been viewed by players and experts alike as the most accurate, meaningful way to portray player putting efficiency.
At the BMW Championship, he led the field in putting finishing with a total of 11.902 Strokes Gained-Putting, with an average of three strokes gained per round. At the Deutsche Bank Championship, here he finished tied for second place, he finished the tournament with a total of 3.805 Strokes Gained-Putting.
The Flatso Ultra is one of three grips in SuperStroke’s Flatso line that features the company’s patented parallel technology and a new patent pending pentagonal shape with a flat top design. The parallel technology allows for even pressure in both hands, while eliminating added tension in the wrist and forearms. This unique design helps the golfer’s arms swing more freely, which further enhances a pendulum-putting stroke.
Players using SuperStroke grips dominated the Top 10 putting statistics on tour in multiple categories throughout the season.
Jordan Spieth, playing SuperStroke’s Flatso Ultra, finished the season ranked first in One-Putts Per Round with a total of 809 One-Putts through 102 rounds. He tied for first place in Total One-Putts Inside of 5 Feet with 357. He finished the season second in the Overall Putting Average category with a 1.548 average through 102 rounds. He was also second in Putts Per Round with an average of 27.86 through 102 rounds with his lowest rounds being 23 putts. He finished second in Putting Average with a 1.717 average for 102 rounds.
Two of the Top 5 finishers in Strokes Gained Putting category played SuperStroke’s grips. The fourth place finisher played the Flatso Ultra and ended the season with an average of .735 for a total of 47.767 strokes gained putting through 85 rounds. The 5th place finisher played the Mid Slim 2.0 putter grip and averaged .705 for a total of 57.078 strokes through 91 rounds.
The leader in the Putting From 15-25 Feet played SuperStroke’s Flatso Ultra grip and made 57 putts in 242 attempts for an average of 23.55 percent made. The second place finisher in Putts Made Per Event Over 10 Feet played SuperStroke’s Ultra Slim 1.0.
