Loudmouth Golf’s sponsored player, Ai Suzuki becomes the youngest Japan LPGA Championship winner.
September 17, 2014 – Foster City, CA – Loudmouth Golf, the global leader in bold and bright golf apparel, is proud to congratulate Ai Suzuki for her win at the 2014 LPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup, the second major of the JLPGA season. This is Suzuki’s first tour victory. With the victory, Suzuki becomes the youngest winner of the JLPGA Championship at only 20 years of age.
Suzuki led on the second day at par-72 and carried a one-stroke lead into the final day. She carded five birdies and four bogeys in the final round to finish at 5-under 283.
Loudmouth Golf became Suzuki’s apparel sponsor earlier this year. She proudly wears Loudmouth’s colorful and unique shorts and skorts exclusively on the course while competing. “The Loudmouth team sends our congratulations to Ai,” says Loudmouth Golf President, Dennis Green. “She worked hard, played a terrific game, and of course did it all in great fashion. We are very proud of her.”
“She didn’t get this victory easily. It was hard work that brought her here,” says L-Golf CEO, Shigeru Yoshifusa. “We hope she will continue to have successful career in the Japanese golf industry as a new heroine.”
