JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The Hurricane Tours, Inc., operators of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and the Hurricane Collegiate Golf Tour, is proud to announce a four-event Hurricane Pro-Am Series to be held in Palm Springs, Las Vegas and Atlantic City in 2015.

Each Hurricane Pro-Am Series event is part of an all-inclusive package. Players will stay at luxurious hotels that feature world-class casinos, pools, bars, restaurants, spas, and much more. Players will be welcomed to a kickoff dinner at the host hotel on Sunday evening prior to the start of the tournament and receive a gift bag worth more than $200. Tournament rounds will be played Monday through Wednesday with a breakfast buffet for players served before each round. Following golf, players will also be served lunch which is included with the entry fee.

“We have hand selected the best golf courses in the country to host these events,” said Mario Conte, Executive Director of the Hurricane Tour. “Team members will be pampered and catered to a first-class experience from the moment they step on property to the moment they leave. The experienced and talented staff from The Hurricane Tours, Inc., will be with you every step of the way to ensure this is an experience of a lifetime.”

The Pro-Am Series features teams of five players, one PGA professional and four amateur golfers. Men and women from the ages of 16 to 80 are eligible to play. The format will be 54 holes of medal play run under USGA rules and teams will score one better ball net and one better ball gross per hole. Amateur players receive 80 percent of their handicap – up to 24 strokes for male players and 36 strokes for female players.

There is no entry fee for PGA professionals. Additionally, any PGA pro whose team is registered 90 days in advance will receive round trip airfare. Each day the top teams will compete for cash prizes while PGA pros will also be competing individually for a minimum purse of $10,000 (based on 20 teams).

Proceeds from all Hurricane Pro-Am Series will benefit Drive Fore Juniors, a charitable organization partnering with inner city youth foundations to develop junior golfers and provide financial assistance to aspiring players who want to compete on a national level.

The first event is Feb. 23-25, 2015 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California; Indian Wells Players Course in Indian Wells, California; and Desert Willow in Palm Desert, California with a registration deadline of Dec. 25, 2014. The second event will be April 12-16 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Arroyo Golf Club, Sienna Golf Club and Red Rock Country Club with a registration deadline of February 16, 2015.
