Important Changes
For most of the golfers in the country, winter time usually means hanging up the clubs for the season and waiting until spring rolls back around. However, if you live in San Diego, the situation is a bit different. Winter time can mean colder temperatures and a chance of rain but that does not stop Future Champions Golf from hosting one of the largest and most prestigious junior golf events in the country. For these reasons, junior golfers from all over the country travel to San Diego to play in this event.
With over 460 players in the field at the 7th Annual San Diego Junior Amateur, it is one of the most competitive fields that can be found throughout the year. With competitive fields, come great champions. Past champions of the San Diego Junior Amateur include: Chris Williams (Former Walker Cup Member and #1 Ranked Amateur in the World), Todd Baek (Web.com Tour Player), Beau Hossler (Univ. of Texas and TwoTime US Open Participant) and Jonah Texeira (USC commit). Along with having one of the most competitive fields of the year, the San Diego Junior Amateur is one of the most heavily recruited junior golf events. At last year’s event, there were coaches from 18 different colleges represented.

In an effort maintain the highest quality and large fields that our FCG World Series events have been known for there are few changes to the San Diego Junior Amateur this year that you should be aware of:
• Girls 13-14 & 15-18 divisions play on January 3-4 at Sycuan Golf Resort
• Boys 13-14 division will play Dec 29th-30th at Riverwalk Golf Club (Mission/ Friars)
• Boys 15-18 division will play Dec 29th-31st at Steele Canyon and Sycuan Willow Glen
• Boys & Girls 11-12 divisions will play Dec 29th-30th at Sycuan Oak Glen
• All other divisions play on Dec 29th-30th at Sycuan Golf Resort Pine Glen
Other tournament features:
• Winner from each division qualifies for the 2015 IMG Junior World Championship
• 1st points event for the 2015 FCG World Series Player of the Year race
• World Amateur Ranked event for 15-18 divisions
• Golfweek, NJGS & AJGA PBE Stars on the line
• Divisions include: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18
