The 101 On Service Innovation!

October 14, 2014

The one area that is reportedly most challenging in the club management industry is the delivery of quality service. Deteriorating service standards has proven to be a bane on golf clubs and oftentimes, it has had an adverse effect especially on members. Members are beginning to show their disdain for poor service standards which in turn affects all areas where a club’s front-line operations comes into direct contact with members.

Service innovation is a new and significantly improved service concept that is taken into practice. A service innovation always includes replicable elements that can be identified and systematically reproduced throughout an organisation.

A service innovation benefits both the service producer and customers and it improves its developer’s competitive edge. Service innovations can for instance be new solutions in the customer interface, new distribution methods, novel application of technology in the service process, new forms of operation with the supply chain or new ways to organize and manage services – all key areas of concern for the golf club industry.

The speaker who will address Service Innovation is David Kwee, chief executive officer of Training Vision Institute, a leader in continuing education and training. David is a sought after speaker and holds a Masters of Education from the University of Sheffield (UK). Being in the practice of enabling people for more than 20 years, he has extensive experience in designing, developing and delivering real time training and consulting solutions for multinationals and home-grown companies both locally and regionally.

David takes an organisational development approach by integrating the knowledge and skills components into the context of specific situational environments. His ability to correlate organisational issues with the culture, structure, systems and strategies brings immeasurable value to the projects he manages.
