LPGA Tour players playing Volvik color golf balls earned a 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 8th place finish and over $400,000 in prize money this weekend at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum (-15) finished in 2nd place by herself after starting the final round with a three shot lead, nearly becoming the first Thai player to win on the LPGA Tour.
“I feel happy that I have a good week this week,” said Phatlum. “Today, (I) just didn’t make the putt today, but I hit it very good today still. Yeah, still is a good week.”
Two Orange, one Yellow and one Pink colored Volvik golf balls finished in the Top 10 this week on the LPGA, bringing the total number of Top 10 finishes on the 2014 LPGA Tour to 26 in 26 events, an average of a Top 10 in every event played this season.

Four out of five players in the Sime Darby field playing Volvik golf balls finished in the Top 10 of the event. Three Volvik players now rank in the Top 25 and five Volvik players rank in the Top 50 in the Race to the CME Globe standings.
• For #13 ranked Chella Choi (Orange), the T3 place finish was her 8th Top 10 of the season, including five Top 5 finishes. She ranks 2nd in birdies and 3rd in eagles on the 2014 tour.
• For #18th ranked Pornanong Phatlum (Pink) from Thailand, the 2nd place finish was her 6th Top 10 and 11th Top 25 finish of the season. The runner up finish was the second of her career and it was her sixth Top 5 finish on the LPGA since she began using Volvik golf balls. She held the 54-hole lead in Malaysia and was T1 in Greens in Regulation.
• For #40 ranked Mi Hyang Lee (Orange), the T8 was her third Top 10 and 8th Top 25 finish of the 2014 season. It was her 2nd Top 10 finish in a row on the LPGA Tour.
• For #46th ranked Ilhee Lee (Yellow) the T7 finish was her third Top 10 and seventh Top 25 of the 2014 season. It was her 2nd Top 10 finish in a row on the LPGA Tour.
Players using Volvik color golf balls have experienced nine Top 5’s, 26 Top 10’s and 60 Top 25’s after 26 events on the 2014 LPGA Tour.
The LPGA Tour continues its seven event international swing next week in Incheon, South Korea at the LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship before the season ending CME Championship held in Naples, FL Nov. 20.
