(HILTON HEAD, S.C.) – The Sea Pines Resort announces its Golf Learning Center and Director of Golf Instruction, Tim Cooke, are ranked among America’s best by LINKS Magazine and Golf Digest.
The new state-of-the-art training facility was recently honored as a “Top 10 Golf School in the U.S.” in LINKS Magazine’s annual list. The Golf Learning Center is in elite company alongside the Butch Harmon School of Golf, Pebble Beach Golf Academy and Pinehurst Golf Academy among others.
The school is headed by the nationally recognized Cooke, who has received the prestigious distinction of Golf Digest’s “Best Young Teachers in America” for the third consecutive time. The list, which appears in the November issue, acknowledges the “top 40 instructors under 40” for the 2014 – 2015 year.

In 2009, Cooke was awarded “Master Professional in Instruction” status by the PGA of America. He was recognized as a “U.S. Kids Top 50 Instructor” (2009) and honored by Golf Digest as one of the top teachers in South Carolina for 2013 / 2014. His instructional articles have been featured in Golf Illustrated and Golf Digest.
The 2,400 square-foot Golf Learning Center at the new Plantation Golf Club features two hitting bays with TrackMan and SAM PuttLab technology, a club repair work room, a viewing studio, indoor putting areas and a separate teeing ground for instruction only. The facility also includes four putting greens, a separate chipping/bunker green, and a wedge practice zone for golfers to enhance their short game.
The Golf Learning Center recently announced a partnership with the online coaching platform, Edufii. The new complimentary virtual training space includes videos with drills from the Sea Pines pros, reviews of new equipment by staff, and game management tips on how to play some of the resort’s signature holes among additional benefits.
