Conshohocken, PA – Isabella DiLisio, a student at Mount Saint Joseph High School was chosen for the HP Scholastic Junior All Star Team. The team consists of 12 boys and 12 girls who excel both in golf and in school. These young athletes must place in the top of their field in an AJGA Open or Invitational. GPA, standardized tests, leadership, and community service are also heavily taken into consideration to choose these young athletes.
Isabella was also chosen as the individual essay award winner of the entire group. The essay titled “Miracle at Merion” was about her great grandfather, a caddy for Ben Hogan. Isabella said “I am so honored to be the essay award winner for my personal story which drives me to play well and keeps me focused. I was very excited to hear they chose it.” Isabella along with the other chosen athletes will be honored at the Rolex Junior All-America Awards Banquet in Palm Beach Gardens and are also eligible to participate in the Polo Golf Junior Classic at the PGA National Resort and Spa, a major event in Junior Golf.
“I have worked with Isabella since she was 11 years old. I am so proud of her,” said Dave Ostrow, CEO of FitGolf Performance Centers. “Isabella is an amazingly talented young woman. It is an honor working with her all these years.”
