Next generation club delivers better spin, additional loft options
IRVINE, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2014) – Fourteen Golf, one of the industry’s premier golf club manufacturers, has released its new RM-21 wedge. The latest iteration of its popular RM series, the RM-21 boasts a clean look, additional loft options and subtle, but effective design tweaks that enhance playability.
“Without a doubt, the RM-21 is the most complete wedge we have ever developed,” said Marcy Kamoda, the COO of Fourteen Golf. “Fueled by feedback from PGA TOUR professionals, it is engineered to give golfers of any skill level the touch and feel around the green they need to succeed.”
The RM-21 takes the best traits of the popular RM-12 and incorporates a series of new features to bolster its performance. Fourteen Golf’s original trapezoidal grooves have been standard throughout the RM series, and the volume of each groove has been enhanced, thus fostering better spin and enabling players to excel in any type of lie.
Similar to earlier renditions in the RM series, the RM-21 relies on a “reverse muscle” tapered design in which the upper blade of the wedge is thicker, thus allowing more weight distribution on the top. This fosters consistency and stability throughout the swing, while also increasing the spin control of each shot.
The RM-21 features different sole variations based on its lofts. The square-shaped standard sole features new loft options of 42 and 45 degrees, while the tapered-shaped standard sole is available in loft models from 48 to 58 degrees. The wide sole comes in loft models of 56, 58 and 60 degrees.
