SAN DIEGO, CA – Heritage Golf Group, a leading owner and operator of premier private, resort, and daily fee golf properties, announced today that Alan Wieme will be the Corporate Director of Food & Beverage. This position was created by the Company to assist with the rapid growth and expansion of the Company’s leadership team. Heritage Golf Group is positioning for significant growth and operational excellence to enhance the member experience and elevate its portfolio of “best-in-class” golf properties.
Wieme brings more than twenty years of hospitality experience to enhance all aspects of the Food & Beverage experience at Heritage Golf Group properties. Most recently, Wieme was the Director of Food & Beverage at Escondido Country Club in Horseshoe Bay, Texas where he was responsible for the Club’s extensive restaurant and catering operations. Prior to Escondido Country Club, he served as the Regional Food & Beverage Director for Club Corp where he was responsible for 14 private clubs in the Dallas Market. Furthermore, Wieme has worked with members of the Heritage Golf Group Executive Team (throughout his career) to implement high-caliber Food & Beverage operations, from the training and development of department heads to catering sales programs and establishing standards of service for their properties.
Wieme will be based out of the recently acquired Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Georgia, where he will begin developing and refining the Heritage Golf Group Food & Beverage operations and dining experiences. He will immediately assess every Food & Beverage operation at Heritage Golf Group facilities nationwide and implement new programs and training accordingly. Wieme will oversee all aspects of the Clubs’ restaurants, beverage operations, banquets, and catering activities, as well as lead the Clubs’ culinary teams in concept development and creation of innovative menus and new service formats to bring members and guests the experience of a lifetime.
