Arnold Palmer Private Course – host to the PGA Tour’s Humana Challenge – leads PGA West lineup of host courses for national championships
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 10, 2014 – The 2015 Golf Channel Amateur Tour National Championships will return to famed PGA WEST in Southern Calif. in September 2015 with the Arnold Palmer Private Course – host of the PGA TOUR’s Humana Challenge – leading the lineup of courses for the annual season-culminating event.
PGA WEST’s TPC Stadium Course and Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course – hosts to the final stage of the 2012 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament, along with the Greg Norman Course round out the list of host courses. La Quinta Resort and Club also returns as tournament headquarters and host resort for the National Championships. The 2015 Golf Channel Am Tour National Championships will be divided into two tournaments: the traditional National Championship (below 50 in age), Sept. 19-22, and the Senior National Championship (age 50 and above), Sept. 25-28.
“We are pleased to be heading back to PGA WEST for the 2015 Golf Channel Am Tour National Championships, with so many of our members having fond memories of each of the four courses in the tournament rotation”, said Kenny Booth, senior director of events for Golf Channel. “PGA WEST and La Quinta Resort and Club always provide a tremendous experience for our members, and the courses will present a true test of golf that is fitting for the top performers from our record 35 two-day “Major” Championships being contested throughout the 2015 Am Tour season.”
