OnCore Golf’s co-founders Steve Coulton and Bret Blakely are two of the youngest en-trerpreneurs to ever appear on CNBC’s Power Pitch last spring. The appearance was a catalyst in the beginning of a long list of strategic moves and milestones for the organi-zation and now has OnCore positioned as a long-term player and not just a passing fad in the highly competitive golf ball market. The OnCore accomplishments were so im-pressive over the last 6 months that OnCore became the first company to ever be invit-ed back by CNBC to give their audience an update from the first appearance and intro-duced Joe White, OnCore’s new President and COO.
“OnCore Golf has made incredible strides since appearing on Power Pitch and we feel that this is the tipping point for us. This is the point where all the hard work is really starting to pay off”, said cofounder Steve Coulton. These milestones include appointing industry veteran Joseph White to the OnCore Golf Board of Directors and naming him President & COO of the company. Joe is truly an expert in the golf ball world. He has run companies such as Dunlop Golf, Yamaha Sports, Gary Player Golf and Sector Sports. Joe has helped OnCore establish a North American golf business with experienced team of 28 sales representatives that are currently opening up green grass accounts across the country. In addition, OnCore has added two highly respected industry technologists to the OnCore R&D staff to develop next generation core tech-nology and new construction concepts from core to cover for what will be a pipeline of high performance golf balls. OnCore filed a new patent for enhancing and protecting the proprietary principles of OnCore Hollow Core and other brand new golf ball technol-ogy.
“OnCore has been very strategic about developing a growth plan moving forward and we are focused on making a global footprint a reality”, said Bret Blakely. OnCore is about to enter into a long-term sales and distribution agreement for the second largest golf ball market – Japan. In preparation, OnCore has refined and streamlined the entire OnCore logistics and supply chain processes to meet the increasing consumer demands for the MA 1.0 golf ball as well as added additional OnCore branded products to market in the Apparel and Golf Accessories sectors of the golf business.
OnCore was also recently invited to become an industry partner of Golf Headquarters, the largest chain of independent golf retailers in the U.S. and has begun the process of adding PGA and LPGA Sectional and Touring professionals to the OnCore Golf Advisory Staff. OnCore sees these milestones as paramount to their success in getting behind the so called “gallery ropes” of golf. Stay tuned because this is just the beginning!
ABOUT OnCore GOLF TECHNOLOGY:
OnCore Golf Technology developed and patented the first USGA Conforming Hollow Core Golf Ball that aims to have golfers play a longer, straighter golf ball by integrating into its design, for the first time, the benefits of true perimeter weighting. This exclu-sive design feature allows the OnCore MA 1.0 hollow core golf ball to impart enormous “Rifle Spin” when executing a golf shot and makes the golf ball to go longer and straighter, even on mishits. Longer – straighter golf shotmaking means a more enjoya-ble and faster game of golf. Co-founders Bret Blakely and Steve Coulton are dedicated to making golf more enjoyable to the masses. OnCore is based in Buffalo, NY and was assisted in its launch with venture capital funding provided by the InVentures Group. For more information go to: www.oncoregolf.com .
